My family has inherited this harp, and I’m seeking guidance and education about it’s history , authenticity, et.al. I’m attaching pictures. Thank you for any insight.
According to the harp ledgers from the London branch of the Erard firm (preserved at the Royal College of Music, London) this harp was finished in September 1831 and sold on December 19th 1835 to a Mr Purdie in Edinburgh.
This information is simply fascinating. Thank you ! This harp was handed down to my father . His grandfather repaired harps in Philadelphia, PA.
